Enter what you pay and what you actually store to see your real cost per TB per year. Use one currency throughout. Take prices from our price database or from your own bill.
How this works
The total is the first-year price plus the renewal price for each later year. If the price is per user, we multiply by users. We divide by years, then by TB. With the example numbers, the total is 80 + 110 + 110 = 300, or 100 a year. That is 50 per TB bought, but 200 per TB used, because only a quarter of the space holds files.
- Space used matters most. A big plan has a low price per TB on paper, but you only get that price if you fill it.
- Add the renewal price. Many first-year prices are promotions. Our IDrive renewal example shows how much the second year can differ.
- Plans change prices. This sum assumes the renewal price stays the same each year. The lifetime calculator lets you add a yearly rise.
