Business cloud storage cost per user

For a 5-person team, the dollar plans we read cost from USD 119.88 to $900 a year at regular prices. The range is wide because the plans are priced differently: per user, per computer, or for the whole plan. Compare what you get, not just the headline number.

Rows are alphabetical. These are not equal products. IDrive and Backblaze are backup services first. Sync's page does not say whether its storage figure is per user or pooled, and Sync needs at least 3 users. Proton's billing period was not spelled out for this plan.
pCloud's business page text showed USD 9.99 per user a month for 1 TB per user, which would be USD 599.40 a year for five. Parts of that page were placeholder text, so check it yourself before you rely on this.

Dropbox and Box showed us only yen. We keep them apart and do not convert.

Both are billed yearly and need at least 3 users. Box's Japan page includes tax. Box says these prices apply to online purchases, not to resellers.
What we could not read
Microsoft 365 business prices did not load for us, so they are not here. Google's business plans are not covered.
How to compare your options
- Check per user or pooled. A 5 TB pool and 1 TB per user are the same size for five people, but not for ten.
- Check minimums. A 3-user minimum means a solo owner pays for three.
- Use space used. Enter your users and storage in the cost calculator.
